Health & Wellness Coaches partner with their clients to collaboratively identify and implement a customized roadmap for feasible and sustainable improvements to their health and wellness and facilitate long-term, sustainable growth through personalized guidance, support, motivation, accountability, and education. They do not diagnose, treat, or cure physical or mental health conditions, and while they provide holistic guidance and support related to diet, exercise, lifestyle, mindset, and other areas of your life, they do not “prescribe” specific medications, supplements, or dietary protocols in the way a physician, therapist, or dietician would.
This is actually one of the many reasons Health & Wellness Coaching is so effective. Instead of handing you a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all protocol which may or may not work for you as an individual, Health & Wellness Coaches account for your unique needs and preferences and provide in-depth support in navigating the implementation of lifestyle changes and overcoming roadblocks. This approach allows for sustainable, long-terms results.

The purpose of Health & Wellness Coaching is to enable personalized, sustainable results and the ability to maintain progress long-term. The coaching process is multi-faceted and involves digging deep into discrepancies between your current lifestyle and your health and wellness vision, applying an in-depth holistic lens on behaviors and mindset, setting customized health and wellness goals, identifying and implementing powerful but feasible action steps, collaboratively making adjustments as needed, capitalizing on intrinsic motivation, instilling accountability, and developing skills to navigate roadblocks and maintain progress, and more.
This impactful transformation that Sara’s coaching experience facilitates takes time and should not be rushed when long-term success and resilience is the goal. The average timeframe for optimal progress and results is 3-6 months (or 6-12 sessions), so Sara’s coaching programs are structured accordingly in order to optimize success for her clients. If you are or will be under the care of a healthcare provider, Sara will align with their protocol(s) and support you in navigating how you can best implement their recommendations in your day-to-day life in a feasible and sustainable way through personalized guidance, education, and accountability.
It is not uncommon for people to leave an appointment with a healthcare provider feeling overwhelmed and confused with no idea where to start. Recommendations such as “lower your cholesterol,” “lower your blood pressure,” “lower your stress level,” or “eat fewer inflammatory foods” can be vague and difficult to navigate and successfully implement. Health & Wellness Coaching can help you make sense of the recommendations you receive from your provider, identify how they best fit into your unique life, and support you with feasible implementation so you can successfully reach the goals set by your healthcare provider.

Health & Wellness Coaching is unfortunately not currently covered by insurance. However, the Health & Wellness Coaching field is hard at work to get this changed, and there have been encouraging signs that insurance may begin offering coverage in the coming years. In the meantime, you are welcome to use your FSA or HSA account as Health & Wellness Coaching is usually recognized as a qualifying expense assuming certain conditions are met. Please reach out to Sara (as well as your specific FSA or HSA program) for more information prior to purchase if you are interested in using an FSA or HSA account.
